We skied a couple of laps in the alpine above Fraser. We found a thin breakable sun crust on the surface below tree line. Our main concern at treeline was isolated pockets of stiff older windslabs in cross loaded features. In the alpine we found 15-20 cm of settled storm snow. Given the uncertainty about the strength of the facets at the base of the snowpack, and the variable snow depth we chose planar SE facing slopes up to 30 degrees. Moderate south winds picked up in the afternoon and drifting snow was filling in the skin track between laps.
