Long walk without any of my followers out to Citadel peak. Numerous whumpfs on buried surface hoar down an average of 15cm under old snow. This was isolated to creek walls and lake shores, anything not near a water source didn’t have this layer. Summit ridge of Citadel had some fresh and reactive windslabs no deeper than 5cm but actively building with trace snow and light winds throughout the day.
