Weather
Weather- Warm and breezy. Temp at Red Lady TH was 33F and 36F upon return. Precipitation started in fits as what I guessed to be freezing rain, miniscule ice particles. Precip became more consistent and heavier with elevation, also changing to bigger crystal sizes. Wind was strong on ridgelines from the West, with moderate and times of extreme wind loading.
Snowpack
Snowpack- Hand pit revealed a rain crust buried under a windslab of varying depth, windslab depth in pit location was about 20 cm. Windswept spots on slopes had the rain crust on surface. About 10 cm under raincrust was a MF or sun crust with more dense warm snow underneath.
Avalanche
Avalanches- No signs of instability or avalanches on lower angle slopes up to mid30 degrees. CBMG
