Weather
Partly cloud, mild temps but moderate SW wind kept temps cold.
Snowpack
Blowing snow being moved enough to form shallow hard slabs, but with warm temps were unreactive and moist on terrain travelled today. Moist snow on southerly aspects.
Avalanche
Observed the Richmond Pk slide. Very wide propagation, similar in size and depth as the NE Bowl of Peeler Peak. Parts of slab broke to ground. Also observed cornice avalanche failing within the last 18hrs off a ENE slope of Scarp Ridge. (photo) much of the cornice remains and is forming bizarre uplift from sagging snow and weight. Cornice fracture did trigger a 10-20" windslab.
