Clear and cool little to no wind.
Snowpack
Below treeline slopes had a supportable snowpack that averaged around 50 to 60 cms. There were three persistent weak layers: buried SH 20 down, buried FCsf 30 down, and facets at the ground. Upper layers were F, but stiffened to 1f by mid-pack. ECTN11 x 2 on SH, ECTN13 on FCsf, ECTP13 on basal facets. Near-treeline elevations showed a lot of wind effect, and a shallower snowpack. The north ridge and NW face had been stripped in most areas. Sastrugi, bullet-proof drifts, and small wind-slabs covered the ridge. HS averaged about 50 cms here, with a thick layer of facets at the ground, and a stiff wind slab above. No cracking, whumpfing or other signs of instability were observed in this area. No avalanche activity was observed.
