Blue Bird. No a cloud in the sky all day. Stayed cool with a northerly breeze. Strong temperature inversion with very cold valley floor temperatures from 6 to 8 am.
Snowpack
Hard and fast in the morning. Solid freeze and a stout crust out in the open, Bit spongy in the timber. There were large cracks all over in the valley floor. Looks like some rapid settlement last couple days. Cracking was in wetlands so ponds, creeks, willows etc, so no surprises, but big cracks. Above Treeline the winds had done a lot of eroding. Some tricky and uninspiring sastrugi. Was nice corn when I skied out at 2 pm.
