Mostly clear in the early AM, increasing clouds and fog by 10am leading to light snow/graupel by noon. Temps around freezing. Wind was light, W/SW
Snowpack
It appeared to have rained up to about 10,800' yesterday/last night. All aspects had a weak crust overlying at least a foot of wet grains. Extensive evidence of snow shedding off of S and E aspects. D2 sized WL out of the Dragontail probably went yesterday. Above 11k, the snow below the surface remained cold and mostly frozen, but the several inches of new snow was heating up quickly, rolling and sluffing. Also of note was the observation of several large glide cracks forming where the known ground surface is bedrock. This is a sign that we're getting water deep into the snowpack and aligns with several other obs from earlier this week.
