Weather

The weather deteriorated as the afternoon went on, with light snow falling by 2:30. The wind was light to calm. Comfortable air temp.

Snowpack

The new snow had firmed up a bit by the 29th, after a little sun and warmer temps. There was little sign of collapsing underfoot, with ski pen at only about 15cm. At the location of the pit HS was 204cm. A 150cm snowpit revealed a relatively stable and right-side up structure, with test results only showing up in the upper 50cm. No results were observed lower than 50cm down, but high activity above points to the possibility of slides stepping down, releasing a significant Hard Slab.

Avalanche

No new slides observed. Old crowns are getting covered.
