Weather
Beautiful spring day with a small afternoon pulse of moisture with very little accumulation. Winds were light to non for most of the day while the sun beat on the snowpack and temps got to the high 40's low 50's.
Snowpack
A good freeze was observed in the AM. Observers from Opus hut estimated 3-4 inches of grapple snow at higher elevations and was dry on North aspects before the afternoon heat. Around 3:30pm the snowpack on most W-S slopes had little to no structure and you were able to penetrate to the ground with your skis on. On steep slopes the snowpack would whumph and crack but didn't move further than a short distance.
