Weather
Sky cover varied from Broken to Overcast throughout the day. By 3:30 pm skies cleared. Temperatures were in the high twenties to low thirties at treeline. There was some wind transport, but most of the snow that was available for transport had already been moved.
Snowpack
20-25 cm of new snow and broken precipitation particles sits over a very solid layer of pencil hard rounded crystals. There are still some persistent weak layers buried deep in the snowpack, but the hard rounded layers makes it impossible to effect them. They are also showing signs of strengthening.
Avalanche
I saw a handful of small loose dry avalanches. These slides released on very steep slopes below the cornice (East-facing aspects) or on very steep cross loaded slopes. None were big enough to knock a rider off their feet.
