Weather
No wind below and near treeline. I didn't get above treeeline but looking at higher ridgelines and driving over Loveland Pass I think the wind was light above treeline with minimal wind loading. Sky was obscured at times with very light snow with times of broken clouds and the sun visible through the clouds. No snow accumulation during the day, about 4" overnight with a storm total of about 12".
Snowpack
The east and southeast aspects I observed have a poor snowpack structure with very weak faceted snow beneath a crust 2 feet down from the surface. The snowpack is weaker at the lower elevations than up higher. One east aspect that I observed near 12k ft had a snow depth of 182cms and a strong mid-pack slab. Faceted snow and decomposed crust below the mid-pack slab.
