Calm winds BTL, sky transitioned from SCT at 12:00 to OVC by 14:00, and S1 snowfall began at 14:00.

Observed surface hoar formation (1mm-3mm) on approach up drainage of Mt Guyot at 12:00 and between 10,500-11,500ft elevation. It was prevalent on BTL open slopes and on both sides of the drainage including open SW facing slopes that had not been hit by sun and on the opposing open, shaded NE facing slopes. Winds stayed calm throughout the afternoon, clouds moved in, and S1 snowfall began by 1400 with the potential to bury these areas of preserved SH.
