It must have been cold, clear, and calm last night because there was large surface hoar everywhere. The morning started out calm but by noon the wind was strong and refilling tracks on NW and W aspects and loading E and SE aspects.

Snowpack

15-20cm of new, very low density snow on SW aspects. The crust beneath was easy to feel while descending.

Avalanche

Claw Couloir, SW aspect, ~12,000ft
