Did 2 laps before lunch on West slopes of Baldy Rocks. Snow quality on N and W slopes was good. Dug a hasty pit (~100cm deep) before dropping in from 2140m on W aspect. Probing in area varied from 115cm-180cm. 2 quick hand shears had moderate resistant results on layers ~20cm down and another ~80cm down that appeared to be the MFcrust. Some obviously wind affected areas higher up, but pillows were not reactive when jumped on. A sun crust was evident on solar aspects. Formation of SH was apparent In the area. To keep an eye on once the next storm cycle rolls through.
