Lots of wind scouring in the alpine around the Bald Hills area. Preserved surface hoar was found down 20cm. Snowpack was unsupportive to skis. Lots of whumpfing in both the alpine and below treeline. Careful skiing was nessesary to avoid getting injured due to the unsupportive snowpack and "early season" hazards like rocks and trees. Lovely walk - awful skiing.
