The crust remains strong at Bijoux. A little bit of snow on top of the crust has not changed riding conditions but it has left stubborn wind slabs on north-to-east-facing slopes. We found some small features to test the windslab and had minimal to no results. We also saw no signs of recent avalanches despite clear views into many areas. The low avalanche hazard along with fast travel conditions let us go farther afield today. We also noticed large surface hoar growing everywhere we went, which we'll be mindful of when it finally snows again.
