dug a pit on NE aspect in lee feature just below ridgeline. 15cm of 4F snow (wind slab) overlies a softer layer of F density snow. The december crust complex is 52-75cm down. Below is alternating crust and 1F density facets (1-2mm). See profile. Rode open slopes up to 35 degrees and saw no evidence of instabilities while skiing. Wind slabs reactive to hand shear tests.
Snowpack
ECTN 2,3 down 15cm on DF layer below wind slab. CTE1,2 (RP) down 15 on DF layer below wind slab. CTM 16 (RP) down 52cm on december crust layer. failed on small (0.5-1mm) facets overlying the crust surface.
