Birdwood Traverse

-1 degrees at the car when we left at 07:00. Overcast and obscured skies throughout the day. We skied SE, SW, W slopes at AL, TL, traversing in valley bottom. Our elevations ranged from 1890m to 2400m. Temps stayed cool all day never penetrating the bomb-proof, hard-packed snowpack (even BTL!). Traverse conditions were ideal as we stayed nicely on top of the very supportive crust. Light precip all day (S-1) amounted to 2-3 cms by the time we reached our car shuttle at 13:30. Winds ranged from light BTL and TL, gusting to moderate/strong in AL. Light dust on crust ski conditions. No avalanches observed.
