Tasting Fear - Ice Climbing

A busy day at the Galatea parking lot with parties on most climbs. We climbed tasting fear, which has 2 main lines right now. Both have wet and dry options. Climbing is largely on hooks but is fairly 3D for the left pillar. Finding good screws was not a major concern. Mt Kidd was reminiscent of July conditions with almost no snow on the mountain, and very little in overhead bowls. Second photo shows one of the avy paths you cross on the hike in. Third photo is of A bridge Too Far. Once again snow is below threshold levels for avalanches. All south facing climbs on My Kidd are looking sun affected. Temperature at the car at 7:30 was -3. At 2pm, temps were at 6 degrees.
