Minimal isolated cracking observed on tour on leeward, actively loading slopes, no collapsing observed on tour. Avalanche occurred in freshly wind deposited snow. Active loading.
Avalanche
WNW facing gully on the west face of Ohio Peak underneath a cornice actively being loaded. A loud whumpf was heard while riding an adjacent slope. A small avalanche large enough to knock you over (60 ft wide crown, 6in deep crown, ran ~100ft) was triggered remotely from 500ft below.
