About 11,000 ft. Level with top of Ajax from the back. North facing. Deep enough snow to sink entire ski pole.
Avalanche
Small, skier-triggered off of a roller. I was traversing and it was enough to knock me over. Came out just fine and skied home with my friend. The crown was about as wide as a car hood. The slide took out my skis and carried me a little but I ended up on top while the debris went on for about 20 yards. I had a partner waiting on the side in a safe place with the usual safety gear but no airbags. Snow depth was enough to sink a ski pole and you could see bare ground afterward.
