W. Fork, Jones Pass Area 11,690' NE, 40° HS 250 ECTP1 @ 25 dn from top, SP. -Didn't trust results and conducted 2nd ECT resulting in SP Fx. when I placed my shovel on the snow. This was an obvious wind loaded location on convex roll. Intent was to investigate reactive wind slabs in area after seeing shooting cracks in wind stiffened snow near shallow rock outcroppings. Obviously, the wind slabs were VERY touchy! Time of test was 1500 hrs
