Great conditions on Tupper West Ridge

Climbed the West Ridge of Tupper yesterday along with Dylan and Colin as a guide training day.

The trail up to Hermit Meadows is in decent shape with a few fallen logs, and dry below the campground. The campground is still covered in snow, as is the terrain up to the base of the ridge. A good overnight freeze and big suncups made for fast travel.

The ridge itself is bare of snow from the start of the scrambling section through to the summit, which made for good and secure travel up and back down. Some snow patches remain off to the sides, but do not affect the route.

The south couloirs off Mt Rogers and the Swiss Peaks still appear to be shedding snow, but the peaks themselves are dry. Sifton has a couple of big cornices, and the north side of the peaks south of Macdonald all appear to be holding a lot of snow.
