We were out in White Pass March 6-10. Storm eased on Sunday and left wind affected surfaces. It came in warm and sticky but snow dried out over the week with colder temps and clear weather. Best riding quality was on the flat glacier at the top end of Summit Creek where we found powder riding. Elsewhere mostly stiffer surfaces but that meant easy travel and low angle slopes skied fast and kept kids smiling. We stayed clear of loaded north faces and steeper slopes to avoid wind slabs. Blue skies for three days on a row. It started snowing again Thursday morning with a moderate south wind and drifting snow as we pulled up stakes.
