Early season trip to Elizabeth Parker, disappointing for riding as may be expected. We uptracked to Schaffer Lake and saw lots of wind affect on the northeast facing slope. We continued up through trees onto Oderay Benches to scope out the line down to the Morning Glory lakes. Similar to other groups at the hut we felt lots of whumpfing on the way up, heard at least 2 natural avalanches and saw evidence of recent slides high up. We dug a pit at the slope, CT6 started to slide on the Dec 17 layer 25 cm down, CT15 on the early season facets at 60 cm. The early season facets layer was thick and very weak. We turned around and skinned back to the hut, riding a couple short mellow slopes through trees. Lots of sharks just beneath the surface.
