Very springlike. Warm and sunny. Winds moving snow in the alpine.
Snowpack
3" of snow measured on Red Mountain Pass this morning. The new snow and surface quickly warmed with ample sunshine and above freezing temperatures. Southwest winds were strong enough to move snow in the alpine.
Avalanche
Extensive rollerballing in a many of the highway paths. Most of the snow ending up in the ditch or just over the white line. Long running Loose Wet and even a few small slabs observed in the backcountry.
