Weather

The winds were light in the valley floor though the trip with steady snowfall at just below 1 cm an hour with brief bursts of heavy snowfall. Roughly 5 cm fell during the trip. Ridgelines were obscured except for a few holes in the clouds that allowed for visibility and I could see light snow transport from southwest winds.

Snowpack

Profile was done at 10,500' in a low angle opening facing slightly north. There was 90 centimeters of total snow with roughly 25 centimeters of new snow. The slab over depth hoar structure that has been present throughout the zone is present here as well, although unreactive. ECTN 24 at the new/old snow interface
