Weather
Cold day with sunny skies. Generally light winds below treeline and along prominent ridge near treeline. Light flagging off higher peaks till around mid-afternoon.
Snowpack
Traveled on north to east through southeast aspects. Found 8 to 10 inches of lower density snow throughout the tour. Minor new snow sluffing on steeper slopes. Snowpack as a whole has consolidated and become very supportable since storms last week. Only one loud audible collapse noted on entire tour and no surface cracking. This occurred on our second trip up the skin track on a southeast aspect. Evidence of wind-effect near and above treeline with newly formed wind-slabs approx. 6+ inches deep. Test continue to produce propagating results with moderate to hard force on buried weak layers and below newly formed wind slabs.
