Weather
FEW clouds with temps in the 20's. Winds picked up later in the morning from the WNW, becoming strong enough to transport snow.
Snowpack
Traveling on southerly aspects, the snowpack consisted of a 5cm thick melt-freeze crust sitting on top of facets. HS ranged from 20cm to 60cm. By the time we were descending from the gazex (just after noon) the crust was no longer supportable and the snow surface was becoming moist.
Avalanche
No recent avalanches observed in the area.
