Weather

Grey day but comfortable. Temps were in the mid 20s and winds were light from the west. Snowfall began around 12pm falling at S-1. Intensity picked up slightly to S1 around 2pm.

Snowpack

Only a foot of snow remains at the bottom of west facing slopes. Steadily the snowpack deepens as you reach 10k but the structure is weak throughout. Ski pen averaged 20-25cm the entire way up and probing took little effort to reach the bottom. The new snow from last weekend is settling into a soft, supportive surface but still lacks the strength to be considered a concerning slab. Pit profile is attached. Though the new snow is still a very soft slab, it had consistent failures at the new/old interface on near surface facets. This may be a problem with incoming storms and added weight.
