Mostly cloudy skies and some light scattered showers cleared a bit as the morning progressed. Temperatures were above freezing with light to moderate SW winds. Some very light accumulations of new snow around Pass level.
Snowpack
Cloudiness overnight inhibited the surface freeze a bit. Traveled on E-S aspects mostly below treeline. Surface conditions began to soften rapidly by late morning.
Avalanche
Recent observed avalanche activity along the highway corridor has been isolated and small, involving only surface layers.
