Weather
Warm, calm, and sunny. Felt like a proper spring day. Strong March sun with temps climbing to around 30 degrees even at 12,000 feet.
Snowpack
Around 7 inches of new storm snow sat on variable crusts on all but shady north-facing terrain. New snow on any sunny slope was moist up to 12,000 ft by around 12:30pm, and would shed off the crusts on steeper slopes with a little ski pressure. Snow was wet and crust were no longer supportable below 10,000 ft by 2pm.
Avalanche
Wet avalanche activity started mid afternoon, but surprisingly less activity than I expected. There is more shedding likely to occur tomorrow. Did see one Glide avalanche in North Anthracite Creek, a couple small Wet Slab avalanches off Mud Peak, and small Loose Wet avalanches scattered around the terrain, but not widespread. Did not see Loose Wet avalanches larger than D1.5
