FEW clouds with light westerly winds and temperatures just below freezing.

Below treeline and into the near treeline zone I did not find any evidence of a slab on east or southeast-facing slopes. I dug a snowpit on an east aspect above treeline in an area where winds had deposited a harder layer of snow on top of facets that had formed earlier in the month. Unsurprisingly, I had propagating ECT (ECTP6) results at the interface between these layers. Probing in more sheltered areas, there wasn't much in the way of a slab.
