2 shovel tests CTH 23 failed at 75cm suddan plainer on a ~ 5cm thick facet layer CTM 13 failed at 90cm suddan planer at ground on vegetation. first test may not have been cut fully to ground. and 2nd test likely was. tricky with weak layer near ground. ice crust below facet layer. another weak layer at ground below ice crust. from top to 75cm increasing firmness from fist to 1 finger down snowpack. no layers lots of exposed and hidden rocks. tricky skiing
