Snowpack

New snow has been heavily wind affected, lots of loading of east-facing leeward slopes, new sculpted drifting. This new snow feels fairly dense and seems 'Reactive' on steeper (25°-30°) test slopes with frequent short shooting cracks from my skis. One large collapse on open meadow near top of pass. Windward facing slopes (West) are heavily scoured ATL. HS on aspects I travelled varied greatly from 20cm to 75cm in trees.
