Light sporadic snow showers

Snowpack

Largely cohesive with pockets of wind-blown on lee aspects. Drier snow at altitude. Patches of collapse below timberline on southerly aspects in the afternoon.

Avalanche

On Friday 4/17 I observed a slide 1,000’ wide by 1,000’ long by perhaps one or two feet deep on Eastern aspect of 13,500’ peak. Perhaps triggered by cornice fall. By today it was filled in.
