Weather

Mostly clear with warming temperatures to near and above freezing at the summit of McClure by 1030.

Snowpack

ECTP13 down 50cms on facets below the 2/3 melt-freeze crust at the McClure weather plot. Storm snow settling into a slab with warming which is settling out storm instabilities rapidly. Snow surface was dry to moist at the weather plot. Trees are mainly free of snow from the top of Flatiron down.

Avalanche

Numerous loose avalanches observed in Hairpin Bowl, Lone Tree Bowl and Flatiron. One larger dry loose avalanche observed in Hairpin Bowl. Nothing reached the road. Loose activity is releasing some tension in the paths but probably also contributing to slabbing of the storm snow
