Smith Basin

Spent the day in Smith Basin. There was evidence of previous avalanches size 1 - 1.5 on various aspects where snow had loaded small features from recent winds. There was also a size two avalanche on a North facing slope. We suspect these occurrences were up to +48hrs old. The snow surface was still soft and freezing level around 1600m.
