Skied into Kututel with low vis at the top, skies opened up and had some sunshine in the early afternoon. Noticeable hard crust under about 10cm of powder in most places. Conditions were super variable: in the alpine some spots were completely wind scoured and the ice crust was exposed which made it very tricky to skin traverse across, others had nice deposits of powder. Tree line riding quality was great. Saw signs of avalanches from last weeks cycle: lots of chunky debris and shallow areas above it. A bit of sluffing here and there but no slab activity seen or step downs. Returned via Scobs knob and had similar conditions to Kututel.
