Snowpack

North aspects around the Sisters harbor a generally shallow and weak snowpack, though islolated pencil or harder slab could be found near wind loaded terrain features. Where I dug in Sister 1, the HS was 67cm. The snowpack consisted of facets and depth hoar from the ground to 51cm. Above this, there were two pencil hard layers of wind packed rounds with a facet layer in between. I had propagating ECT results on this facet layer. See snowpit profile for more detail.
