Good powder turns but the snowpack still feels thin. Especially at the top and bottom of Surprise Pass, hit a few rocks. At Treeline on Saddleback Col, HS:90cm, 50cm of F snow sitting on a dense midpack to ground. Midpack was supportive to boot pen. Noted Surface Hoar at TL up to 3mm.
