Nice sunny day up Castlecrag and down to Moat Lake. Widespread wind effect in open treeline and in the alpine from recent north winds. Highly variable ski conditions at these elevations, with dry powder in sheltered terrain at treeline and below. Some windslab 15-25cm thick observed in alpine, avoided bigger slopes anywhere wind effect was present. One size 2.5 avalanche (24-48 hours old) observed in the alpine on the north side of Mt Frink.
