Weather

Snowing lightly when we arrived at 8:30 and then it quickly cleared to a sunny day with moderate west winds. It was warm in the sun, but the wind was cold.

Snowpack

Below treeline at about 11,600'on an east aspect the snow was 130 cm deep. ECTP 28 about 25 cm down where the transition from fist-hard snow to 4-finger slab existed. Below that there was about 75 cm of 4-finger to 1-finger hard slab with loose fist-hard facets for the bottom 25 cm. We did not experience any cracking or collapsing during our tour.

Avalanche

Two new small avalanches that looked to be about 24 to 48 hours old were observed in Everett C and B.
