Weather

@ 11450' wind was moderate to strong with significant blowing snow. Temp was cool (-7C). Precip rate varied from S-1 to S1 but was somewhat hard to tell due to blowing snow. Visibility varied from 250' - 500'. Overcast and snowing the entire time.

Snowpack

@ 11450, SSW aspect, 16 degree slope in open meadow NTL. There was about 29cm of new snow in the area sitting on top of an ice layer or presumably an old melt freeze crust. Below the ice layer was a somewhat firm (1F+) facet layer with fist hard faceted layers below.
