Significant drifting from South wind storm event on Sunday. Crossed plateau to the lower glacier. Dug a Pit on a shallower area on the glacier (1.2m). Sugar snow from 1m to ice failed at several hand taps during compression test. Higher on the glacier there was over 2m of snow, which felt well supported. Observed natural avalanches on cross loaded slopes (East, NW), with avalanche debris covering the road in several places. On the ski out we triggered a small size one avalanche on a convex snow feature on the lee of a gully, on a NNE aspect at tree line. No injuries or burial, but one of our party went for a short ride (5m) and skied out. Avoid areas with wind loaded features particularly near tree line, even on mellow slopes till things settle down.
