Warm and sunny day with a light breeze. A dusting of new snow overnight on top of about 10" on last Saturday according to the plow drivers.
Snowpack
Start zones of larger highway paths (S and W aspects) have very little snow. Many of the banks and smaller paths are also free of snow. N aspects HS varied from 1.5m to over 2m depending on wind drifting. See snow pit profile for more detail of N aspect snow structure. Widespread surface hoar noted near and above treeline on N-E aspects.
