We rode Flora with 25 cm of powder. There was not enough snow on the lower part of the trail; we needed to hike carrying skis for 3 km, until 1000m elevation. After 1000m, we skinned up to the end of the ridge at 1800m. The sparsely treed ridge from 1400-1800m has isolated wind slabs, mostly on the SE side of the ridge. We avoided this area and skied the SW side of ridge. We were able to ski from 1800m down to 1000m, then hiked down.

We observed isolated windslabs on the ridge from 1400-1800m. We dug a pit and conducted a compression test. Pit was on the S aspect at 1800m on the ridge leading to Flora summit. Snowpack depth was 250 cm. On the compression test, a fracture occurred at 20cm after 16 hits. We suspect this was a windslab.
