Skied cornice ridge from 1300m to 700m (W through N aspects). Temperatures ranged from -10 to -6. Winds were light from the N and E during the day. Observed deep windslab formation on lee and crossloaded features from recent southerly winds. Hasty snow profile conducted in open trees at 1200m on 30 degree West aspect. HS 320cm. CTE 3 (SC) down 20,25cm on two separate layers of surface hoar to 5mm. CTH 28 (RP) or CTN down 85cm on a 10mm thick crust. Mystic valley still has some water hazards (i.e., a handful of obscured 2-3m deep watery holes), so watch yer speed and heads up!!
