Overnight both the pass (11,990 ft) and the northside parking area (11,300 ft) did not seem to get the snow totals that Loveland Ski Area reported (8in). The summit is mostly wind scoured with the parking area holding 2-3 inches of snow, and the lower parking area on the north side of the pass holding 3-4 inches of snow. Wind transport was evident throughout the day- scoured ridgelines on the south-west (A-Basin) side of the pass and pockets of deeper snow on sheltered north-east facing slopes. Winds were consistently strong in the morning, tapering after noon with some stronger gusts remaining. Skies were partly cloudy with very light (S1) snow at times.
