Snowpack

220cm SH. ski pen 20cm boot pen 40 cm. 30 cm weak (F hard) snow on top, followed by the first melt freeze crust at 190cm (4F+) and 15cm of weak (4F ) snow. A distinct second melt freeze crust at 170cm (1F) followed by 15cm (4F) weak snow and 10cm (F) weaker snow. 20cm of firm (1F) snow beneath from 140-120cm. I put a saw through 15cm of a 30cm isolated column at the suspected weak layer beneath the 170cm crust and the entire slab above collapsed (50% across the column)
